Body Repatriation from UK to South Africa
Bringing your loved one home to you
DAR Funeral Repatriation offers a comprehensive repatriation service from any location in the United Kingdom to any location in South Africa. We can fly into; Cape Town, Durban, East London, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth.
Repatriation to South Africa typically takes between 7 – 10 days, however, this can be delayed in certain situations, such as if a coroner is involved. Once in our care, we will care for the deceased, complete embalming (acquire certificate for travelling), and prepare the coffin in line with international repatriation standards.
The official documents we need from you are:
-
Death certificate (if a doctor has certified the death- coroner is not involved)
-
Passport of the person who has passed away
We will obtain the Out of England Certificate, Freedom from Infection Certificate, Embalming Certificate, Funeral Directors Declaration Certificate, Air Waybill document from the airline, and the Health Waiver issued in South Africa.
We are able to repatriate to major international airports in South Africa, including O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, Cape Town International Airport, and King Shaka International Airport in Durban, and can arrange further transportation within South Africa to any location.
